Cody Russell, coder

Cody Russell is a violist and software engineer based out of Atlanta, GA.

As a violist, Cody has played with Fort Worth Symphony, East Texas Symphony, and other orchestras in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. He performed in the viola ensemble Bratsche con Brio, with whom he played in Mexico, Canada, and the United States. Cody studied at the University of Texas at Arlington and the Peabody Conservatory at Johns Hopkins University. His teachers include Catherine Forbes, Victoria Chiang, and Ralph Fielding.

Cody has worked primarily as a software engineer since 2004. He has had opportunities to work on a wide variety of projects such as video game graphics engines, mobile applications, Linux desktop software, web applications, and more. He has worked for such companies as Microsoft, GitHub, Xamarin, and Canonical.
